brief introductions-
Me. - name is Nici, attends BYU-I studying Interior Design, 3rd year.
Angie- Attends BYU-I studying human bio, will be done with her BS next semester.
Dara- attends BYU-i studies exercise science wants to become Occupational Therapist. will be done with school in about 2 semesters. then grad school for her. wahoooo!!
Courtney- attends BYU-i wants to go into the medical field, going to apply for nursing this next semester, but for now she studies health science, or “animal husbanrsy” 2nd semester of school.
Lauren- going into Elementary Education, minoring in Theater Education. she is off track right now. she’s from CANADA.
Stephanie- also attends BYU-i, studying animal science. 3rd year of school wants to own a cattle ranch.
when i first got here i wasn’t sure about moving apartments, because i had such a great time with my other roomies, Heather and Jody. But Heather left and it was just Jody and i, but i decided to move because the whole reason for me moving to this complex was so i can live with Angie again. A little background check... me and Angie were roommates once before, for my 2nd semester. And i wanted to live with her again before she graduated. Anyways, I was sad to leave jody, but we are only a couple of doors down so its not that big of a deal.
The drive up included me singing at the top of my lungs by myself. Yup i am one of those people, you make fun of when you are stopped at stop lights. but i stopped in Utah and stayed with my cousin for a night; the next morning i picked up jody, and we drove the rest of the way. We got here in the afternoon. and guess what? we were locked out of our apartments. So what did we do? well we went to visit our great friends in MC5, we just caught up and they feed us dinner. and by the way it was so good. I love it when guys can cook, such a turn on. Well after chatting giving a couple of massages, and eating, and watching a slideshow of their road trip that lasted a week and a half (all the pictures were scenery...that’s the difference between guys and girls, guys don’t care about being in the picture; just as long as they have something to look at to remember that’s cool with them, but girls, we like the pictures to mean something and we like the pictures to contain at least one of the people in the party even if we aren’t in the picture.) after we went to check if our doors were unlocked, and mine was. me and jody went in, i started to unpack, i got pretty much everything put away and my bed made a couple hours later. But then Angie and Dara came! Since me and Angie live in the same room, we were able to talk while we unpacked, and Dara just being in the room next to us, was able to hear bits and pieces of our convo. It was fun to catch up! they went to Wal-mart and McDonals that night. They brought food back for me (So nice of them). Due to my best friend Rachel, i love BIG MACS. we continued to unpack clothes and what not till 1 or so in the morning, then we just crashed.
the next day- Courtney came into my life. BAckground check- Courtney was suppose to live in 103 and her sister in 108 with me, but her sister Alison transferred schools right before Christmas, so she sold her contract, to this girl but Courtney decided to take Alison's contract and the girl just took Courtney’s for 103. in short, Courtney wasn’t originally suppose to be in this apartment, but i am for sure HAPPY she is. she is what we like to call a BLONDE BOMBSHELL. She’s tall and beautiful, way nice, and funny. So Alison came with her she could get her things, and moved out so she was busy that day moving things in and out and unpacking and packing and all the above, it was kinda crazy. that day, dara and i went to the bookstore to get our books for this semester. :) my books this semester were about 200 dollars yahooooo! right after we bought our books we continue to walk around this chaotic and crazy bookstore, looking for dara’s friend chase because she told him we would meet him there, when the lights went out. HELLO BLACK OUT! we decided to leave and just start walking home. When chase finally called her back, we stopped and waited for him. They said hello and what not, dara introduced me. We continue to walk home, once we got home i went over to 106 (my old apartment) because me and Jody and Matt were going to IF (idaho Falls) to get food from Windco. and went to eat. during my visit in IF, lauren and Stephanie came. that night Scott came by to fix my TV which i left in 106 for them to use since they didn’t have one, and Lauren had one, after he left to talk to his girlfriend Shiloh (which was my old roommate) he came to my apartment and tuned my guitar, and then him and angie went to get pizza for us, we played phase ten. WAy fun. the things that sound lame to do just all depends on who you are doing it with.
School started. same old same old. the first week of school didn’t go the way i planned. i missed two classes. and my first bio class. i was front row and center. but my first thoughts where, guess this will be good, i won’t sleep in class. WRONG. but i feel like this will be a very interesting class.
its the WEEKEND! i went to see a movie with Jody and a bunch of other people. We saw Whip it. cheesy but i liked it. Saturday night my apartment threw a dance party in our lounge. it was FUN. but there were a couple of other dance parties going on, so around 1030 or 11 i went to another dance party at the Ridge... I stayed there till curfew. It was way fun, i knew so many people there, and i met a few new people. Sad to say i probably wouldn’t recognize the people i met there in day light. whoops. oh well. i think i was on a adrenaline high or something, I was crazy.
WEEK Two of school- so i think school work is going to pick up, cause you know i am taking 17 credits. and that is what it usually does. But this semester its weird there hasn’t been a lot of homework, just the stress of thinking i have a ton of homework and then i go to make a list so i can get started and not stress about it, well i cant make a list because there isn’t anything to put on the list. But it stresses me out because thats all i do is homework, homework and homework. so my brain is tripping out.
i live for the weekends.
this weekend i started it out going out on a date that dara set me up with her friend Chase, the one i met walking home from getting my books. I had fun. we were both sick, so it wasn't a super long date. we went to get hot coco from the coco bean, took a walk with our hot coco and then we just played pool (by the way i suck) and then played air hockey (which i sucked even more then pool, i didn’t know that was possible) then played fus-ball (which i was much better at this game then the other ones by far.) we where going to play ping-pong but the ball was broken in half. very sad day. because i could show off my sweet skills. lol but after that we went back to my apartment, and he wanted to see some of my projects so i showed him. then he when home, i walked him to his car, and we ended with a hug. It was fun :) hopefully there will be a second in the near future. friday i went to the “rockstar” party. that was way fun! so many people there. like not much room to dance around because people don’t know how to use the whole dance floor. You still can dance close but, doesn’t mean you can’t have room to actually dance. then saturday we went to Lava hot springs with a ton of people! this was my first time visiting LAva. it was about an hour and 20 mins away. but it was worth the drive. :) my phone broke right before leaving the locker room... SAD DAY.
sunday was church. i got a calling... i’m a FHE goup leader. SO MUCH FUN :/ it will be a new experience, i just usually don’t have time to go FHE yet alone have time to plan it. no matter my personally feelings towards it, I will embrace it. MONDay- NO CLASSES, but this is where i did all my homework. went to fix my phone, but Verizon didn’t helped me at all. i was kind frustrated when i left them. but i went home and ordered what i need online. :/ hopefully it gets to me soon.
3rd week of school
Didn’t wake up for my classes on tuesday, missed 3 classes. MLIA. but the rest of the week it was fine, Friday i was so exhausted i kept falling asleep. thursday night everyone in my apartment except angie, went to broliums to get pretzels since they had a super sweet deal 2 bags for a buck. what a deal! but they didn’t have them so we egged each other to buy candy and favored milk straws to drink milk. we made a candy bowl, and everyone that came into our apartment that night asked what happened. it was pretty funny. guess you had to be there.
WEEkend #3
its a chill weekend. friday night we had karaoke night, i wanted to serve drinks as well just because it would have been unique but they would be non-alcoholic drinks of course. lol well karaoke lasted till 930 or so. it started early. thats okay who can sing on the top of your lungs for longer then 2 hours anyways. after this we went to get food. and went to MC and played a prank on two different apartments. just remember to lock your door when no one is home :) lol and then we just went to 5 and talked and went to 4 and chatted. :) boy i love those boys. they are some of my favorites. but we just went home and had some roommate bonding time. Saturday night we had a game night, where we playing spoons, it got a little out of control. Angie was attacked and hurt her ankles. We stayed up talking till 3am and we have church at 930 am .... whoops. we where having to much fun creating our own little harry potter world. wow we are the best!
my roommates and i all love to have a good time. And i am sure that people think we are nuts sometimes. but we all have strong testimonies of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints.
